1464 : Greate Manikya King Ratna Manikya introduces coin.
1501 : Dhanya Manikya constructs Tripurasundari temple at Udaipur(Rangamati)
1513 : Bengal Nawab Hussein Shah invades and occupies Tripura.Dhanya manikya occupies Chitagang.
1529 : Deba Manykya invades and occupies Sonargaon .Later Nawab reoccupies it.
1530 : Deba Manikya regains Sonargaon.
1532 : Bijoy Manikya 2 crowned as King.
1565 : Ananta Manikya takes over from Bijoy Manikya.
1566-71 : King Uday Manikya changes the name of Tripura's capital from Rangamati to Udaipur.
1577 : Amar Manikya succeeds Ananta Manikya.
1581 : Amar Manikya conquers Sylet in Eastern Bengal (present Bangladesh).
1586 : Amar Manikya commits suicide
1626 : Kalyan Manikya takes over reigns of Manikya dynasty.
1660 : Govinda Manikya crowned new king of Tripura.
1661 : Nakshatra Rai as Kshatra Manikya becomes new ruler of Tripura.
1675 : Govinda Manikya's grandson Ratna Manikya 2 becomes new King.
1676 : Govinda Manikya's son Ram Deb Manikya becomes new King
1681 : Mughals invade Tripura.Jashodhar Manikya defeated.
1693 : Narendra Manikya conspires and dethrones Ratna Manikya 2.
1712 : Ratna Manikya Murdered by Mahendra Manikya.
1748 : Shamsher Ghazi invades and conquers Udaipur.King Krishna moni or Krishna Manikya escape.
1760 : Krishna Manikya becomes king of Tripura again.
1761 : Tripura capital shifted from Udaypur to Puran Agartala by Krishna Manikya.
1772 : Chakla Roshnabad comes under the governance of East India Company
1783 : Maharani Jhannavi Devi becomes Regent on behalf of minor Prince Rajdhar after the death of king krishna Manikya.
1785 : Rajdhar manikya crowned new king of Tripura.
1793 : Under Permanent settlement system Rajdhar Manikya gets back Chakla Roshnabad .
1809 : Prince Durgamani Manikya becomes new king of Tripura.
1827 ; Kashi Chandra Manikya succeeds Durgamoni Manikya.
1830 : Krishna Kishore Manikya Succeeds Kashi Chandra.
1838 ; Capital shifted from Puran Agartala to present Agartala by Krishna Kishore manikya.
1850 : Ishan Chandra Manikya crowned as new king of Tripura.Tripuri tribes rise in revolt.
1860-61 : Kuki revolt led by Rata Puiya against feudalism.
1863 : Reang and Jamatia tribal Communities revolt against atrocitied of Hazari and Waki Rai.
1870 : Birchandra manikya crowned new king of Tripura.
1871 : AWB Pawar nominated Tripura's first political agent by British Government.
1891 : Umakanta Academy set up to become the first High school of the Kingdom.
1894 : Maharani Tulshibati girls School established.
1896 : Radha Kishore Manikya sets up Bir Chandra state Library after ascending the thorne in the same year.
1897 : A devasting earthquake strikes in Agartala on June 12.The royal palace is also destroyed by the earthquake.
1900 : Rabindra Nath Tagore arrives in Agartala at the invitation of Radha Kishore Manikya for the first time.
1905 ; First Bengali news paper Arun published from Tripura.
1909 : King Radha Kishore die in a car accidents at Sarnath in Uttar Pradesh and in succeeded by son Birendra Kishore Manikya as the new King.
1915 : Birendra Kishore Manikya introduce Tripura Civil Service.
1919 ; Rabindra nath Tagore arrives in Agartala for the second time.
1923 : King Birendra kishore Manikya passes away at the age of forty only and a council i8s formed to rule the state on behalf of minor Prince Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya.
1928 : Birendra Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya becomes new king of Tripura in January through formal coronation State Bank of India starts operation in Tripura.
1932 : Primary Education introduced by Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya.
1939 : Bir Bikram Kishore manikya visits Shanti Niketon at the request of Rabindra nath Tagore.
1939 : Reang revolt led by Ratanmani Reang against and feudal system starts.
1941 : Bharat Bhaskar conferred upon Rabindra Nath Tagore by Bir Bikram Manikya.
May 17,1947 : Death of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya at the age of 47 Council of Regency led by Kanchanprabha Devi formed.
September,1947 : MBB College starts functioning.
August 13,1947 : Kanchanprabha Devi agree to sign Instrumentation of accession in join the union of India.
1948 : Golagati farmers revolt against forced procurement of foodgrains by money-lenders.
January 12,1948 : Council of Regency dissolved Kanchanprabha Devi appointed sole Regent.
September 9,1049 : Her Highness Maharani Kanchanprabha Devi,Maharani Regent of Tripura and C.Rajagopalchari the Governor General of India sign Tripura Merger Agreement.
October 15.1949 : Tripura included in the territory of India.Government of India takes over the administration of the State.R.K.Roy ICS,appointed as chief Commissioner.
January 26,1950 : Tripura included in the Constitution of Republic of India as 'C' category state with Chief Commissioner as official Head of the state.
November 5,1951 : First Election of Agartala Municipal Council held.Sixteen Commissioner Elected.
January,1952 : First General Elections held in Tripura.Thirty members electoral College formed to elect one Rajya Sabha Member.
1953 : Advisory Council appointed to guide and advice Chief Commissioner by the president of India.
November 1,1956 :Tripura declared Union Territory of India.
March 1957 : Second General elections held and thirty members Tripura Territorial Council formed.
August 15,1959 : Tripura Territorial Council starts functioning with thirty elected members and two nominated members with Sachindra Lal Singha as it's Chairman.
February 1962 : Third general elections held to elect thirty members of Tripura Territorial Council.
24 Jun 1963 : Last session of the Tripura Territorial Council.
July 1,1963 : Territorial Council turns into Tripura Legislative Assembly.Five member Cabinet led by Sachindra lal Singha formed.
22 April,1964 : Railhead reaches Dharmanagar in North Tripura.
1967 : Fourth general elections held to elect thirty members Tripura Legislative Assembly.Six members ministries with Sachindra Lal Singha as chief minister.
June 1967 :Tripura Upajati Juba Samiti(TUJS) founded by tribal group to protect and fight for their right.
1970 : Post of Chief Commissioner converted to lieutenant Governor.R.L. Dias IAS Appointed as first Lieutenant Governor of Tripura.Government Museum inaugurated.
September 1,1970 : Tripura declared state from a single district
1971 : President rule imposed in Tripura
January 21,1972 : Tripura attains statehood under the north East areas (Reorganization) Act.1972.B.K. Nehru appointed first Governor
September 17,1972 : Bengali speaking immigrant settlers Amra Bangali to safeguard their interest
May 24,1974 : AIR starts Bengali evening news service from Agartala Centre
July 1,1974 : Kokborok News service starts from Agartala station of AIR.Sudhir Debbarma becames the first news reader.
January 1,1076 : Tripura Board of Secondary Education formed
April 1,1977 : Coalition Ministry of CFD-CPM headed by Prafulla Das formed.
July 26,1977 : Another coalition ministry of Janata-CPM formed with Radhika Ranjan Gupta as chief Minister
November 5,1977 : President's rule imposed
December 31,1977 :Fourth Assembly Election held
January 5,1978 : Left front wins 56 seats .First non-Congress government of Tripura headed by Nripen Chakraborty as Chief minister formed.TUJS wins 4 seats.
June 25,1978 : Agartala Municipal Council Election held.Victorious left front formed council
December 1978 : Tripura National Volunteers(YNV) founded under the leadership of Bijay Hrankhol to fight for a sovereign Tripura.
1989 : Assembly Passes bill for creation of TTAADC under fifth schedule.
June 6-7 ,1980 : More than 500 killed in armed clashes between tribals and Bengali speaking settlers in Mandai,Amarpur and other Places.
January 3,1982 : Election held for 28 members Tribal Autonomous District Council
January 28,1982 : TTAADC Formed
January 5,1983 : Fifth Assembly election held.Left front wins 39 seats.Nripen Chakrabarty elected chief minister for the second time.
June 7,1984 : Panchayat election held.Left front wins majority of Panchayats.
July 3,1984 : Agartala municipal council election held.Left front capture the council.
August 23,1984 : Tripura sixth schedule bill passed by Lok Sabha.
December 24,1984 : Lok Sabha election held.Left front candidates win both the seats.
February 8,1985 : ATPLO leder Binanda Jamatia murdered
April 1,1985 : Sixth Schedule implemented.
June 30,1985 : Election for TTAADC held under Sixth Schedule
March 26,1986 : Railway line extended to Pecharthal
November 2,1987 : Foundation stone for Tripura University laid
February 5,1988 : Congress-TUJS coalition ministry formed under Sudhir Ranjan Majumder as chief minister.
February 10,1988 : Agartala Municipal Council dissolved
February 11,1988 : Ordinance issued to dissolved the Panchayat
National Security Act(NSA) comes into play
April 24,1988 : Fatickroy by election held CPI(M) candidate withdraws nomination
August 12 : Rajib Hrangkhawl accord signed
September 20,1988 : TNV Cadres surrender en masse with weapon
October 12, 1988 : 15 killed in political violence at Bir chandra Manu in South Tripura.
April 14,1989 : National Liberation Front of Tripura(NLFT) established under the leadership of Dhanjoy Reang.Demand creation of a sovereign Tripura.
September 20,1989 : Airbus land Agartala airport for the first time .Sports Directorate formed.
July 1990 : All Tripura Tiger Force(ATTF) founded by a group af former TNV rebels led by Lalit Debbarma to established a sovereign Tripura through armed struggle.
January 4,1990 : Railway line extended to Kumarghat
